Terms and Conditions

The booking of accommodation is a contract between our two parties. Templenoe Cottages will provide the accommodation and services described and agreed.
A valid credit card will be required upon checkin where the card will be pre-authorised.
The guest undertakes to pay for the accommodation booked unless they have cancelled it in accordance with the following cancellation policy:

BASIC OUTLINE OF POLICY:
If you cancel more than 3 weeks before your booking, there is no charge.
If you cancel within the 3 weeks period, there may be a charge of 50%.
If you cancel within 7 days, there will be a charge of 100%
Early booking including 15% discount requires full payment when making the reservation and it is NON REFUNDABLE
If you fail to arrive for your booking, you will be liable for the full amount of the expected room cost.

As from 1st September 2013 all credit card transactions will incur a 3.5% Credit Card Transaction Fee in line with New Zealand banking strategy.

Below is the legal version and should be read in conjunction with the summary above.
Cancellation Policy:
If you cancel your booking more than 3 weeks before midday of your expected day of arrival, a full refund of any deposit paid will be forwarded to you.
If you cancel your booking within the 3-week period before midday of your expected day of arrival and we are able to re-let the rooms, you will receive a full refund of your deposit paid. If we are unable to let the rooms booked by you, Templenoe Cottages reserves the right to charge for the full amount.
If you have issued your credit card details as a means of reserving the room and no deposit has been given or taken, and section 2 above applies, then Templenoe Cottage reserves the right to debit your credit card for full-expected cost of the room booked by you.
If you have paid a deposit by cheque, cash, credit card or any other means and you cancel on the day you are due to arrive or there is no prior notification of cancellation and you fail to arrive, then Templenoe Cottages reserves the right to retain the deposit paid. In cases where the deposit does not cover the actual loss incurred, Templenoe Cottages reserves the right to issue an invoice for the balance.
If you have issued your credit card details as a means of reserving the room and no deposit has been given or taken, and you cancel on the day you are due to arrive or there is no prior notification of cancellation and you fail to arrive, then Templenoe Cottages reserves the right to debit your credit card for the full amount of the expected room cost.
In all situations described above, where a deposit has not been paid and credit card details have not been issued, Templenoe Cottages reserves the right to issue an invoice for the appropriate amount.

Deposit:
Please use the following criteria when calculating the deposit needed. Single night booking = 50% of the room rate. Multiple night booking = 1st night's room rate
Check-in is available from 2pm on the day of arrival. Checkout time is 10am on the day of departure. Early check-in and/or checkout are by arrangement only.
Payment for all accommodation must be made in full on the day of arrival (if not already done so).
Early Booking including 15% discount requires full payment when making the reservation and it is NON REFUNDABLE.
Overdue/recovery charges may be made if your account is not paid on time.
No visitors are allowed in rooms after 10pm. any damage to the room or property may be charged, plus a charge for any resultant loss of income if applicable.
Templenoe Cottages is a NON-SMOKING establishment. If you do smoke inside, you will be charged appropriate cleaning and loss of income charges.
Important Note: Whilst care is taken, prices, discounts and rates as noted on this website are subject to change without notice - charged at rate valid at time of stay.
Rates quoted are in New Zealand Dollars, all GST and tax are included.
Unforeseen circumstances may be taken into consideration.
